A Lay's Giveaway

I was contacted a few weeks ago by Frito Lay and asked to try their new product line, "Pinch of Salt". I said sure, I would try it, and would they mind sending a few extras so that one of you could try them as well!

I cannot tell you how many times I have tried to justify keeping these extras for myself--especially upon discovering that my favorite stores do not carry them yet--hopefully that will change soon!

The kids and I taste tested these:

They are YUMMY!!!!! You can taste the pinch of salt, but it is not overpowering. These chips have much less of a greasy feel to them-- I did not feel like my mouth was coated in crisco upon finishing. (HUGE plus in my book...that is one of my biggest pet-peeves.)

I love the 3 item list of ingredients--how often do you see that? Especially in chips?!

Anyhow, I have 3 full-sized bags of these chips for you to try in your own home. They are:

Tostitos, Pinch of Salt: tortilla chips

Fritos, Pinch of Salt: think lower sodium frito pie?

Lay's Potato Chips, Pinch of Salt

No hoops to jump through, just comment to this post before Friday, July 18th. If you do not have a blog account you will need to leave your email as well. I will draw one winner on Saturday morning!

Good luck!

I am so excited about this new product! I have been saying for years that I wish one of these companies would come up with their products with just a little bit of salt on them. I've tried the no-salt items, and don't like them. And the regular chips, I have to rub off salt before putting each chip in my mouth. Thanks for the giveaway!

We have pretty much banned chips, from our diet, due to obvious reasons. However, I will keep these in mind, for the rare times we do have them. Thanks for sharing, I had never heard of pinch of salt Lays before.

I am currently suffering from 'crisp' withdrawal. Nothing beats Walkers. I may have to succumb to the 'British Store' and pay for a whole box of my addiction. If only it weren't for the exchange rate! Can't offer to exchange Walkers for Frittos though I'm afraid as mine are priceless.
Cheers

Hey Angela! We have been buying the Lay's Lightly Salted and they are delicious, as well. Jeff has been put on a major low sodium diet due to osteoporosis. I'm thrilled they are coming out with more options!! Great news!!
Miss you!

How cool. I love Lay's. You really CAN'T stop at just one. hehe

I'm a big salt fan though, but if I won some to try, they would certainly get eaten. :)

Oh, not trying to post twice for more chances, but forgot to add that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the 3 ingredient list. In stuff nowadays, that's such an important thing! Great!

We're not a huge fan of potato chips around here, so don't put me on the giveaway list, but I just had to comment on the three ingrediants. AWESOME!! I love that. Now if they would just make a 3-ingrediant version of Cheetos (we do love our Cheetos!) that would be fan.tastic. Hee.

I was raised on the products from the Frito-Lay Family, us both being natives to Dallas, Texas, and all. Frito-Lay and Dr (with no period, in the old days, at least!) Pepper go together like potato chips and--well, not-too-much salt! :)

I'd love to try them as normal chips are definitely too salty most of the time....especially for Hudson. Thanks for the contest!

Just three ingredients? I'm shocked. My kids would faint if they saw chips in our kitchen! LOL!

Wow, three ingredients - gotta love that! We're a tortilla chip household. Admittedly I'm a frito pie junkie - when pregnant with my son I ate it 4x in a week. The next week I found out I was pregnant. LOL
