Well, Hello!

I'm still here! This past week has been especially busy. Here's what I've been up to:

-HOMEWORK...Greek I, a Psychology class, a Psychology/Christianity class, and Statistics this semester.

-Housework...Steam cleaned the carpets, as well as my car. We put up two new bookshelves and a new computer desk rendering our front room a good place for the kiddos schoolwork to take place.

-Watched 'Holes' with Harley. He read this book over the summer and was excited to see it on TV.

-Enjoyed a cookout by my husband.

-Enjoyed my husband being off work for the first time since getting home from deployment two weeks ago! (Not enough time since he went back to work this morning...only a 4 day weekend.)

-Read 3/4 of the book, "The Shack"....so good! And such a luxury to hole up in my room yesterday and do nothing but read!

-Took all 4 kids to get their hair cuts.

-Got to spend 5 hours at the salon all by myself on Friday getting MY hair done. (It had been a YEAR!) I got colored, highlighted, cut and eyebrows done. Felt like a new woman.

-Took the kids to the bookstore and introduced Milan to Fancy Nancy. Convinced Xander he could not have a Star Wars cookbook until he learned to read...and well, cook.

-Spent some much needed quiet time with my husband...can't believe he has to leave again soon. (Don't ask when, can't tell you that on the web.)

Hope everyone had a good Labor Day weekend!

Sounds like you are busy with a very heavy class load! Oh I do not envy you there..I remember all to well classes like those and I was not a mommy yet! My week was spent in the hospital with one child, on the phone with the poison control and the doctor for another. And those are just the two big things...I really hate it when one child gets sick and it spreads to the others...have great week!

You have worn me out just reading all of that! It sounds like you were able to get a lot done though.

Sounds likem a very busy but fun week! Glad you got to spend some much needed time with Jason. I am, however, very sad to hear he has to go back soon! That stinks!

I saw Fancy Nancy at Borders the other day and thought I'd try it on Sabryn. Since that's her Aunt's name maybe that would interest her. Got to find that magic button for her.

We sure do miss you guys! Miss our talks too! Couldn't believe we went the whole deployment without talking once. WOW! {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

Enjoy that time with your husband!
And thanks for the tip about the cookbook -- I think I know a 10-year-old who would love that. :)

So much to do when Fall rolls around! We started school today--my students sure weren't ready to get back in the groove of things. I treated myself to a hair appointment and a pedicure on Sat.--delish!

Sounds like you are a super mommy! I hope you had a great week! I read that you were an autism research advocate... does that mean you are a mommy to children on the spectrum? Just curious. Even more kudos to you if you are! And double double kudos that you got your hair done - love to hear when good busy mommies do self care! Hope to read more from ya!

I love Fancy Nancy. I wish they made the books in boardbook format, too, though. I know Stella (2) would love it!
