It's a Love/ Hate Thing

Dear Military,

Stop sending my hubs away. My jeans have no room for expansion. And another thing... I have had it with Ben & Jerry being my Valentine's Day stand-in.

3 years now...*3 YEARS NOW* --you hear me? He's missed various birthdays, holidays, Sundays... I have seen him 12 weeks TOTAL since last June.

Keep it up...and my children who climb the walls when he leaves are going to be your problem.

I kid you not. Expect a BIG box with air holes that sounds like an army of screaming banshees..Give them some ice cream.

That just sucks. No two ways about it. If I were closer I'd come eat some ice cream with you. ((hug))

Sending big hugs! So sorry to hear that.

Thank you for your service to our country for being the strong wife of a service man.

That's a lot of ice cream! How long does it last? A week? A month?

Your husband must be quite a man to require that much ice cream to live without him!

Do they give you the ice cream? Or do you but it? If they give it to you, that's HARDLY a stand in for a spouse that's away. If you buy it...well, enjoy every bit.

Hugs to you!!

May the nearness of God be your Good. (I think He likes ice-cream too!!!) Sorry for your honey's absence. My pilot-husband is often gone, but when he is home, the ice cream disappears via his keen appetite for frozen goodies such as that! By the way, I loved your idea for the valentine bag I saw displayed on Heart of the Matter Online. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talents! Kathy

May spring come fast and give you happy distracting tulips .and may your husband come back with the spring happy and whole and safe and sound.
And have you had the peanut butter and chocolate swirl.????..It won't make you stop missing him, but it can distract for HOURS....

Seems to be a lot of that going around. Hope he makes it home soon.

We got Valentine's Day but the rest of the holidays for this year are shot. My daughter was ticking them all off on her fingers in the car the other day, saying, "So you won't be here for St. Patrick's day or my birthday or Mom's birthday or this or that".... I finally just had to ask her to PLEASE STOP. lol We'll have plenty of time to ponder the missed days as they come.... stop making me focus on them now! EEEEEK!
