About Me

I'm a married-to-the-military, mother of four chaotic kids. My passions are ministering to homeschooling families, disability rights, theology and coffee. I have a BAS in Christian Ministry and am currently working on my MA in Christian Education as well as an MA in Theological Studies. Jason and I have been homeschooling our kids for seven years. You can also find me on my women's ministry site, Joy Comes in the Morning.

I married Jason, and the military, in 1996. In 1997 we welcomed our first child, Harley, who I can hardly believe is a teen now! 3 kiddos followed--very quickly--Jagger 2000, Xander 2001, and Milan early 2003.

We began our homeschooling journey 7 years ago. We'd have laughed in your face if you'd told us we'd ever be "those people". Those things people say to homeschoolers:
"I could never do that. I couldn't be with my kids all day--they'd drive me nuts. They won't be socialized".
I said it all.
I am currently working full-time on my degrees, homeschooling the kiddos, and trying to keep up with the day-to-day activities. God blessed me with a very patient and supportive man to help, hold, and handle me through it all.

The best part of it all is that I get to do all of this and spend every precious moment with these crazy kiddos.
I am so thankful for our chaotic life.
